MANCHESTER UNITED are ready to pay Ajax sensation Matthijs de Ligt a stunning £350,000 a week as they look to beat Barcelona and Manchester City to his signature this summer.
Manchester United are preparing for a revamp this summer and have identified the Ajax captain as the man they want to lead it.
De Ligt though is being tracked by Barcelona and Manchester City - with the Spaniards favourites to win the race.
But, according to the Mirror, United are prepared to break the bank to get their man
But they’re having issues with putting together a financial package to tempt De Ligt as well.
Barca would likely have to sell one of their big hitters with Philippe Coutinho having been linked with a move back to England.
They could also look to offload Malcom who has struggled since last summer’s move, or Ousmane Dembele.
But United have moved to the front of the pack and are expected to spend a huge amount on fresh players this year.
Solskjaer has already admitted the Premier League title is out of reach for next season.
